I'm sure you can get a Lada or a Yugo pretty cheap ;-)

Paul, you wouldn't happen to live in Alaska would you?
Even decked out it looks like a shoe box. You have to be under 25, no one else that stupid would buy an element or scion.

Car-Tetris is the sport of the future; Scions and Elements are valets wet dreams, they can get 2 line rows set up and just wait for the limos to tetris all night long...
Seriousl, what happened to aerodynamics?
I'm surprised no one's mentioned the dodge SRT-4 (at least that I've seen, i just kind of skimmed). I've heard it's around $20k and is one of the fastest cars for the money even if it is FWD. Having said that though, I think the WRX would be a great car (a very low mileage 04 can be had for $21k), although the tranny is a little weak if you plan on beefing it up. I am biased towards subaru though as I recently reviewed a bunch of cars and settled on the WRX STi, one of the greatest cars I've driven for the money.
I was quoted on a fully loaded new 2004 Acura RSX without for $19500. Not bad, but it feels very crammed.
Sorry guys, the WRX is not under 20K.

We all should have been on Oprah. She just gave away nearly 300 Pontiac G6s.
Oprah did not give away cars. Pontiac did. The thrifty billionare doesn't need to spend her own money to help the needy. She gets sponsors to do that. That is why she is a billionare.
ARE YOU A FAG?..............NISSAN ALTIMA IS THE RIGHT CAR!!!
Hey, I came upon this web site because I am buying a new car, and no one has mentioned the Mini Cooper. Again I am short so it works for me, but this car has gotten great reviews, has a great warrenty, great safety, and a lot of get up and go. Not to mention that it is a blast to drive!
You're the first individual I ever heard complain about a civic.
Actually, my Civic was nothing to ride home about either. Soooo many problems around 60-70k- especially the electrical ones! Not a horrible car, no worse than my old 94 Lumina I had before then, but dont think I will buy another one. Got an 01 Focus with 67k on it now and havent had a single major expense other than maintenance- best car Ive ever owned.

I think the new Scion coupe looks pretty sporty and under 20k. It is a Toyota so I am sure it is pretty well made. That would probably be my pick.

Scion TC...you can't find another car with those features at that price. They are pricing them low to get people in them and increase the buzz. I suggest you take them up on it.
And like ??? said, they are made by Toyota so you really shouldn't have the typical new model reliability issues.
Only problem with the Madza3 is that it is bubbly cute like a VW bug and I wouldn't wanna be caught dead in it....also I've heard it has mechanical problems right away.
all other cars are just throw away junk. i'll drive this piece of iron till 200,000 miles, just turned 140,000 today, ha $3000, keep the money in your pocket don't let your f***in ego get in your way folks.
