Anybody see that Nick Kristof's column in the New York Times in which Dylan Farrow, Woody's former stepdaughter, accuses him of molestation?

After that creep job he did with marrying his 19-year-old stepdaughter when he was 56, this throws the final nail in the coffin. I really do not care to watch any of his movies anymore, even though the ones that I have enjoyed in the past.
Now I know why they call him "Woody".
He married his own stepdaughter. I think it's fair to say he didn't suddenly become interested in her when she reached the legal age of consent.

Why is that fair to say? How do you know he didn't become interested in her suddenly? I know several people that met and got married in less than a year.

Often, memories are false. Memory can change through suggestion. So, I don't trust this. Innocent until proven guilty. A person's reputation shouldn't be destroyed by a letter.

What about all the other stuff beyond the once incident in the attic? Sleeping in bed with her in his underwear? Putting his thumb in her thumb in her mouth? Were these repeated incidents just put in her head?
It's easy to feed one memory into a kid's head. But lots of memories? That's a real stretch.

Just think for a minute. He lives with this girl for many years as a father figure before she reaches the legal age of consent. Is that the sort of thing that happens with stepfathers? Switching from a father figure to a lover? What is that?
Are you familiar with his movie "Manhattan"? It portrays him as a divorced 42-year-old that starts dating a 17-year-old. A bit of foreshadowing, maybe?

You're assuming too much. Without looking it up, how many years did the stepdaughter live with him? How do you know their relationship was parent-child and not just friendly?
And why is it impossible for him to change his relationship with her into a romantic one and why are you assuming that he just woke up one day and did? Couldnt it have been a gradual process over a year? Have you never dated someone that you initially hated or despised? Never heard of enemies falling in love?
False memories are a reality. I've had some dreams in the past that I sometimes think may be real until I thoroughly recall that particular time of my life.
I believe that some people's minds can be manipulated in such a way that they recall events that never happened.
Having said that, and despite being a Woody Allen fan, I tend to believe something shady occurred (and I tend to be a gullible person...I still think Michael Jackson was innocent.)

Woody Allen may well be a total a-hole for his actions related to these young women. On the other hand, nobody on here really has any real idea of what went on between him and underage girls. Anyone who says otherwise is just talking out their ass.

Just wondering why Dylan doesn't say what exactly happened that day? Yes, it's kind of odd that he marries his 19 yo stepdaughter but does that alone prove guilt of a crime? I'm down on child molestors, think they should be tortutred and killed but it does seem that Dylan was checked out and found that there was no evidence of molestation. And Farrow does seem like your typical vindictive, scorned ex-wife. I mean if they feel a need to keep rehashing and talking about this in public then why not say exactly what he is alleged of doing? The whole thing seems very odd.

The claim is that he took her upstairs in Mia's country home and had her lie down and watch a toy train and then he touched her private parts.
There's never been any proof of it.
Woody Allen did not marry his step-daughter, that's another myth. Woody and Mia were never married, Woody never slept over at Mia's house, once. When Woody was over he usually only spent time with their mutual kids, Soon-Yi(sp) was an adopted daughter of Mia's from her previous marriage to Andre Previn. Mia started asking Woody to get to know Soon-Yi...that's how things got started.
Read the link above. It cleared my mind of a lot of myths and mis-information about the case.
Marrying a stepdaughter is incest, IMO. Same level as molestation, so I didn't need to hear more examples to make up my mind about him.
