This race was pretty loaded: Cabral, Andrews, Batty, Miller, and much more. Good to see Emanuel racing great again.

Is Lee Emanuel related to cicirunner?

Did Andrews drop out of another mile? Didn't see him finish and can't find the official results yet.
Nope, o'hare ran 3:52.98 at the armory for a CR and, IIRC, did not win.
Lomong ran 3:51.21 at the armory last year, genius.
Perhaps they ran a meet record.
Yeah, meet record only.

It's not a new Armory record. It might be a new meet record but definitely not an Armory record:
Lopez Lomong ran 3:51.21 last year at Millrose:

Guess we can't blame the coach.
First Vig, now Gags.
Well I guess we can blame vig or UVA as once Vig left Andrews was basically forced to go pro and hasn't been the same since. He's amazing when he's in races he can handle and dominate (HS/College).
Memo to whoever is coaching Andrews. The kid is fragile on his confidence. He may not be fast enough to run 1:42 in the 800 but he's most comfortable there. Either run in the 800 or let him dominate some B college meet in 4:02 to get his feet wet.
Don't year after year put open him in some 3:55 mile race which he can't handle and drops out of.
1) Merber was up with the leaders halfway. 2) Is Emanuel currently unsponsored? 3) The pacers did a great job here.
even letsrunners seem to have forgotten about the Millrose Games.
Damn, Merber
little surprised more guys didn't at least break 4. Perfect job by the pace setters, 1:57 at 1/2, 2:56 at 3/4. Spot on
Batty, Bolas etc these guys should always run a 3:58

Perhaps they ran a meet record.
It was just a meet record and not a facility record. Duh. Mods - if possible, please correct my title. Thanks!

With that strong of a field, I was pretty surprised that those even splits really thinned out the field by 800. Heath looked really strong, Emanuel ran smart.

Have to agree with a couple of posters here, pacing was good, but at 2:56+ Heath and Emanuel got clear by a bit
Andrews was not even engaged a ways back from the 1:57+ for pacers and then immediately dropped through the field again.
It is not the pace that is killing him in these, nor was it last year.
craig miller ran a really smart race, may have been in 10th as late as the 800m mark when he made a big move (and the guys in front of him just fell off the train, except for emmanuel & heath). had to have ran 2:00/1:56.
or i guess you could say he ran dumb & let emmanuel & heath get too much of a head start. either way i just noticed he looked really string over the final 800. more in the tank.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
