I may be spending some time in Fayetteville for the next several years. Are there any nice tracks there to train on?(I'm assuming the UofA tracks are off limits..but i may be wrong) Any nice trails? Clubs? Road Races?
Thanks

Just wear bunhuggers around town and you will get all the attention you desire.
Bump
You got your answer dude. Be happy with the answer and do as told.
Talk to the guys at http://www.rushrunning.com/ they do a ton for running in Northwest Arkansas.

I watched this without the sound on. Just waiting to see where it would go. Funny as hell considering the OP inquiry.
Also, the Fleet Feet store there is ok but Rush Running does a better job catering to more serious runners. http://www.fleetfeetfayetteville.com/
thank you whitepony
You liked that video didnt ya boy !
From a people standpoint, there aren't many ultra fast runners training in the area that I'm aware of. If you're a 16:30+ 5ker there may be a few folks to train with, but they're more in the Bentonville area than Fayetteville best I can tell, and Rush is your connection there. If you're recreational, obvi there will be people to train with.
Infrastructure wise I would say it's pretty solid. Good roads, hills, bike path, and a few decent trails. Fayetteville High School track used to be open all the time but it's pretty much been put on lockdown, which sucks. But I think there are some Jr highs in town that I believe are accessible.
No real clubs, and the road racing scene is pretty ok.
Like others said, talk to the guys at Rush Running. Fleet Feet does some sort of track workout so check with them also-

Here's a map of the local trail system, which is pretty good-

If you like trail running/hiking, you are close to great trails in the Ozark National Forest, Buffalo River and various state parks. The people at the Packrat Outdoor store could get you started.
thanks guys, ill check that out
