I don't think this is accurate.

There is no BU meet on January 16.

The 24-25 meet is the Terrier Classic, a college meet. They will have a 3,000m, not a 2 mile.

February 8 is the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, which is at the Reggie Lewis Center, not BU. They will have a mile for Rupp to run though.

The Terrier meet is open to anyone. That's where Rupp ran last year.

I know but saying he will run a 2 mile there when there won't be a 2 mile doesn't bode well for his participation in the meet.

This dose not surprise me. I think that track is the "fastest" indoor track in the US. It would be great for some record attempts.

Last year there was great concern that it would be too cold for Rupp to train (between dates). Horrid Boston seasonal temps and all that.

Yep! They'll all be there. And what date is the New Balance event at the Reggie Center? They'll be there too. Oregon Project invasion coming!

Will someone please tell me when and where the Oregon Project will be running in Boston? Does anyone know? Will anyone from the Oregon Project answer this message? Galen? Shannon? Jordan? Alberto? Come on guys....it's only weeks away! The sport needs answers!

No, the blog is accurate, this will be a completely Rupp-certified 2-mile AR attempt with Dathan pacing him from the front and Cam Levins running behind him waving a big fan to keep him cool and provide a slight tailwind. The men's 3K will be held separately. Can't have any other competitors getting in the way.

Feb 8 as noted above.

Feb 8 is also the Valentine Invite at BU, but I think it's just for college runners.

Where are any of you getting your information? All the BU races are open, semi-pros and red shirts run them all the time. http://www.goterriers.com/sports/m-track/sched/bost-m-track-sched.html just look at the official team site, all the dates match up with meets on the BU schedule.

Be that as it may, Rupp will be running @ the Reggie Lewis Center (New Balance Indoor Grand Prix) on the afternoon of February 8th.

This was posted on the USATF-NE facebook page yesterday as well. Saw the mile attempt last year and it was a great atmosphere - should be fun.

Not really. With a seed time Any slower than 8:45 3k or 15flat 5k and you're not getting in

Pretty sure Bruce Lehane (the BU coach) was good friends with Bill Squires, who had some connection to Salazar. Is my brain playing tricks on me? Someone with better info/history want to back me up or correct me?
