I am living in mid-Michigan and we got a bunch of snow here today. The road conditions are pretty poor. I have studded shoes for these types of conditions and so does my daughter. She is a freshman in HS and she managed to garner All-State honors in XC this past fall. She has high goals and a good work ethic. Despite this, she tried to get out of her run today complaining about the weather. I told her that she had to suck it up and get her miles in. A little snow is no excuse to skip out on training.
Her claim is that I am probably the only dad in MI (or somewhere else with lots of snow) that made their kid stick to their training plan today. I argued that this was certainly not true. I am posting this here to settle a bet. She says that if no one responds to this thread saying that they also made their kid run today, then I have to take her out for some DQ. I haven't decided what I will get when I win, but that is not important.
So, did anyone else out there (in a snowy spot) make their kid run today?
