As some you know I've been hitting the depression train a lot lately. I went out and ran a 5k time trial just for the heck of it. My achilles has been slowing me down big time lately. I wasn't feel good during the warm up but I decided I would crank it out on an indoor track and see what happens.
First mile - 6:40. A bit off my goal as I wanted to break 20:00 I was feeling relaxed
Mile 2 - 13:00 I picked up the pace and got myself more on track. At this point I'm sucking some wind
1/2 mile to go 17:00 Having run at about 6:28 pace for 2.5 miles I knew it would be tough closing in 6:00 pace. I picked up the pace a bit
1/4 mile to go 18:35 I'm so close I can feel it. I start sprinting my lungs are sucking wind
1/8 mile to go 19:20 At this point i'm going on all cylidners
finish - 19:58 - I was wiped out. Legs felt okay. I went home and I was very happy with my life. I hope this continues to the trend of a more positive stick.
