I've been to Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Brazil, The Netherlands, Singapore, Canada, and Malaysia. However, no matter how much I think about it, the thought of going to China or India does absolutely nothing for me. I'd rather visit many other places before I visited those two countries. Is this weird?

That's some serious shIt. From what I read, the death rate there under 50 is extremely high.
I've lived in northern China for the past ten months or so and while the quality of life isn't as high here as it is in the US it's really not as unbearable here as American media makes it out to be. I've been able to run most days here, none of my runs have ended with spitting up black flem, cars here follow traffic laws by and large and the people love Americans. On top of all this things here are very cheap. I make around the equlivant of 3000 USD per month and am able to afford a nice two bedroom apartment and able to eat out at nice western style restaurants every night. I would recommend visiting China for a short period of time, if not to experience one of the oldest cultures in the world than in order to see a totally different way of thinking and life.
