In regards to athletes that have exceptional range, there was a group of runners in the early-mid 2000s from Wissahickon, Pa that had decent 100-400m times, and they made states in 2005 for cross-country with these runners. Sure none of them ran 20.XX but 22 range for 200s and then to run in the 15-16 minute range is pretty good. Some of you may know the best runner from this group, Nick Crits, who went to La Salle and now runs for NYNJTC.
Nick Crits 22.82 (fr) and 16:13 (so) at Districts 2005 - Eventual 4:04 Runner
Teddy Miller 11.12, 22.35 (so) 17:01 (jr) at Districts 2005 - Eventual 30:55 10k
Jordan Hill 50.41 16:14 Sr at Districts 2005
Scott Kern 22.54 (fr) 16:30 in 2007 (sr)

Bob Hayes: 10.05 World Record 1964
Darrell Green: 10.08
Willie Gault: 10.1
Cliff Branch: 10.24
Deion Sanders 10.26
Chris Johnson: 10.38
Bo Jackson: 10.39
Darrius Heyward-Bey: 10.4
Tim Dwight: 10.41
Devin Hester: 10:42
Reggie Bush: 10.42
Rocket Ismail: 10:57
I don't know which of these are wind-aided.
Well that's missing Jeff Demps at a minimum.
I remember state meet hester's senior year. He was running for suncoast and they were a lock for the state title. Anyway, he bombed (by his standards) helped us win the overall championships. I still have my state meet gold medal and its one of my greatest accomplishments.
I doubt hester cares.
Ron Brown and Johhny Lam Jones belong on your list.
I dont recall the name but a small school not too far from me has the same record holder for every boys track event 100m-1600m.
100m is around 11 flat and the mile is in the 4:20s

And WTF are you talking about.? My post was like the 4th post. The OP asks "are these times for real" ? the next post say they believe the 800m but probably not the mile.

Trindon Holiday and Jacoby Ford immediately come to mind who should have been on this list. Jeff Demps just got to the NFL so he would be on it as well. These guys are at the absolute top of the list. Sam Graddy should be on the list ahead of a lot of those guys...actually all but Green and Hayes. Ron Brown. Alvis Whitted. James Jett. Mike Miller.
In fact...that list is terrible. LOL.
Seriously, ttc are you drunk?
Add
Herchel Walker
Rany Moss
Joey Galloway
Renaldo Nehemia
Rod Woodson
among a ton of other really fast guys who just never ran a timed 100m

10.8 and 20.77???? That would mean Obea's 2nd 100m for the 200m was sub 10.0. Obea must have been much faster than 10.8.
This is because Obea did not run frequently the 100m dash. But he was in the 4x100 team at World Juniors in Sydney 1996, so yes, his suggested 100m speed is better than 10.8
Something similar happened with Lashawn Merrit in WJC's 2004. He did the 400, the 4x400 and the 4x100. And I think Lashawn is faster than his listed 10.56 PB.

Adrian Peterson ran a 10.33 (+3.2) in the 2003 Texas 4A Meet
http://www2.uiltexas.org/athletics/archives/track_field/02_03/results/4A_boys_results.html(scroll about half way down the page)
considering the winner of that race (only 0.17 ahead) won the World Juniors the following year and has a legal PR of 9.93, that's pretty good going for a guy of his size and other abilities

I coached a guy in High School who could have done this....Of course i am biased but let me give you PR's and you decide.
10.42 FAT........Baton Rouge....1993
20.77 FAT........Rice Univeristy.....1993
45.36 FAT.......State Meet......1994
1:52...HT......4x800m lead off........Baton Rouge....1993
As a former 800m/1500m college guy I know that 4:09 would have been tough but realistically, 4:15 would have been more possible. But, then again I didn't think when he was a junior in high school he would have beaten a NCAA 400m champ either. Then to top that off as a college Freshman, I didn't think he would be on 1995 World Championship team either.
This is not made up as a little bit of research will tell you who this is and everybody that knows him, will tell you that he probably had the most range of any track athlete we have seen in a long time. Just couldn't stay injury free.

I wouldn't make it that easy...lol...I know letsrun readers like to exaggerate the truth, but I will assure that this is all stuff you can research....I'll give you one clue without giving you too much....he finished second his freshman year in the 400 at NC's......
