Which one is better?
Which one is better?
If it makes any difference, excluding elites, I saw more people wearing Adios 2 in NYC than Adios Boost.
I currently wear the Adios 2 (although I liked the original much more) and I REALLY wanted to try on a pair of the Boost at the expo, and they didn't even have any in my size.
None of my LRS carry them and I can't justify spending $150 ordering a shoe that has never touched my foot.
I'd love to hear from people who have worn all 3 versions of the Adios.
in my opinion, adios boost is way more comfortable. i run in the energy boosts and they're probably my favorite trainers of all time so i switched from regular adios to the boosts and have loved them. haven't ever worn the adios 2 however
I have the Adios 2 and only sort of like it - it feels disjointed between the front and back - always feel I'm slapping my forefoot.
I tried on the adios boost in a store - it is 1) wider and 20 felt less racy...but I didn't do any real running in it.
I've been reasonably satisfied with the Adios 2 but didn't like it as much as the Adizero CS which I hoarded when it was discontinued so I never had the original Adios. Adios 2 seems to have a wider heel where the CS was more snug. If the Adios Boost is even wider than the 2 then I won't even bother with it. In the meantime I've switched over to Nike Lunaracer but if Adidas made a better shoe (similar to the CS or even the old Response Comp) I would come back.
The original Adios deserves Sainthood status! Best racing shoe I've ever had (28+ years of running)

Agreed. I've heard from a lot of people that the Adios 2 was a good shoe, but they liked the original more. I horded 6 pairs of the original when they went on clearance, but have since burned through them and ended up running NYC in the Adios 2.
I also agree with Wørd about the CS. That was a GREAT shoe that I could buy at my LRS for under $80 brand new. Unfortunately based on the trend, the age of great shoes at great prices from Adidas has passed.

Agreed, and by original, you mean like 10 years ago, yes?
Amen PreRunner... The Adios original was the best shoe EVER!! I'm racing in the Adios Boost flat for my half marathons and marathons. Not bad but the first was amazing.
I have stocked up on the Adios2.
The Adios Boost is the most comfortable lightweight trainer I've ever used. It's hard to justify $150 , but they are good. I have the Boost 2 as well and they are good enough if you can find them on sale.
The adizero CS is actually renamed the Ace. In Japan, the CS/ Ace is still being continued, but not sure how similar it is to the one you had.
Interesting. The first pair of CS I ever had I actually bought in Tokyo. I've never seen the Ace - when I search for it I find tennis shoes(??)

The successor to the CS was actually the Adios.
The Ace was the cheap version of the CS, it had a cheaper mesh upper and didn't have full forefoot Adiprene+ and also started falling apart after about 350 miles.
The Ace line continued after the CS became the Adios, but they ruined the shoe with the Ace 3 and 4.
Does anyone know if they will discontinue the Adios 2 in the foreseeable future? If so I need to stock up on some before the Boost is the only thing available

Early to mid 2014 I believe. I stocked up on the original when it went on clearance, and will probably do the same with the Adios 2, hopefully they will clear at a sweet price.
Adidas Product Team ~ when will the Boston Boost be available? Any images to view? Thanks! How much will the new Boost Glide weigh?
I have a hard time believing the Boost material will make a good racing flat. I have a pair of the regular Boost and I only like them for runs where it is so cold that EVA loses its cushioning. Too soft otherwise. Maybe a thinner sheet will be more responsive.
The Adios is the best running shoe ever made. I use it for everything.
+1 (although I don't have quite 28 years experience).
The Adios boost is a lot softer although no less responsive.
