Amy's another other of those "I had a great buildup" runners.

This message board is terrible. No one is discussing the race! I hardly have any idea what happened!
there's a race being shown? I thought it was human interest stories
I love the way Mutai runs. Always looks powerful and moving forward with force. I know his legs must be tired but they never look it.

Incorrect again. She can clean up her form and become a much better more efficient marathoner. Even her upper body motions are wasteful.
Down below shes knock kneed and has a wierd outward kick.

At her age nothing changes , you should know that , her mechanics work as she accepts her $600k check, she may not get a world record but she wins races.
7 min negative split for Jeptoo!
That sucks about Hartman.
They showed Mutai passing Hastings and it was not a pretty sight.
Deba looked so disappointed at the finish... Not her fault that Jeptoo is such a bada$$!
Mutai just passed Hastings. She looks to be hurting bad

Meb and Hartmann haven't dropped out but they're WAY back. 22 miles in 1:59 for Meb, 21 miles in 1:59 for Hartmann. Vail hit the 22 mile split in 1:51 so he's looking solid.
How's Ryan hall dong

You have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what form is efficient for a given body.
Glad I could clear that up for you.
Of course we know what form is efficient for a given body like Jeptoo's: the form that is being employed when $500,000 is on the line and she is not bonking, dehydrated, or having any other sort of energy issue.

Instead of trolling and yelling blatant insults, how about providing some constructive criticism.
Already did that.
All of the form, ahem...gurus, can say absolutely nothing about what form is efficient for a given body. To think otherwise is astonishingly ignorant and arrogant given the level of complexity of the human body in motion and the huge differences that a millimeter difference in length of bones, placement of attachment of tendons, size of every muscle compared to others within its group as well as its opposing group or an ounce in weight differential between parts of the body. It is nothing short of hilarious that these...ummm...gurus think that they have even the most rudimentary idea what an individual runner's form 'should' look like.
On the other hand, they are quite qualified to say what they find aesthetically appealing.

The NY Marathon website tracker shows that Vail was about 4 1/ minutes behind Mutai at mile 24
They have a camera following Amy Hastings here.
She is suffering. It's not being shown on ESPN but the camera has followed her for the last couple of miles.
Kebede is finishing really well.

I agree. This has been the worst message board following of a race to date.
Mile 25 449 for Mutai. He's just rolling. Kebede is now second.

That is a very sensible answer. I certainly cannot disagree.
Of course, the form morons apparently know better.
