Too early to say that. I think both Mcgorty and Saarel have huge upside, and both are going to be outstanding. I'm Less convinced about Cheserek. I know the dude was the best frosh today and he's an absolute beast, but he's been beasting for 3 years now with very little improvement. I mean, he ran well under 4:05 as a sophomore in high school and didn't PR in the mile last year. He's taking to the 8k and probably 10k well, but I just have a hunch that Saarel and Mcgorty will be significantly better by the end of 2017.
Hey, at least we have a year and a bit to prove you right. Maybe McGorty and Saarel can each win a dozen NCAA titles and catch up.
All three have done well, though. I wouldn't be shocked at all if they went 1-2-3 at NCAA XC this fall.

An Oregon fanboy bumping a thread that had been dormant for years just to bash a CU guy?
Why am I not surprised?
This is too rich, one of Wetmore's ditto heads going after a program with some success while he continues to steal money as a "Head Track and Field Coach"

You asked if he was still running now, not if he was winning championships

I live on the East Coast and have no connection to CU. I don't think I've ever even met someone who went to school there. I am a fan of the sport, though, and so I recognize both Wetmore and Powell's successes, as well as the typical Oregon fan classlessness. You are not a fan of the support as indicated by your handle.

Since St Mark got moved to the weak Pac 12, his men's teams have never finished better than 7th (with only 10 men's teams in the conference) and twice they were DFL. The women are no better. He makes WSU, Arizona and Stanford look like powerhouses.
Saarel's career mirrors this trainwreck. And Wetmore's failure has nothing to do with Oregon for whom I give two sh*ts (although they do have lots of skins on the wall). Wetmore is stealing money and his fanboys are in denial.

Why does Saarel run the 1500? Wouldn't he be way better in the 5000? I'm thinking he could run 13:20's by now. Jake Hurysz was/is the same way. He runs the 1500 when one would think he'd be way better at the 5000.
