bump. was thinking either hill session or swim?
no suggestions.....?
At your current level you should do a 2-3 mile cooldown after your race/"tempo run" and call it a day.
Ok. thanks for the advice and sorry for being impatient. So no extra hard work? i do have a long run tomorrow AM as well and its now Pm here in UK. would it be beneficial to do say 2miles Ez then short hill sprints like 10 secs

At Oregon we occasionally used to do a Thursday morning tempo run at moderate effort and then in the afternoon run 5-6 miles followed by 5x300 cut down from 48s to maybe 43s. This was college, however, and I was running up to 90 mpw.
Why are you intent on two hard workouts in a single day when you are only running 45 mpw? I would focus on getting your weekly mileage up.
thanks for the feedback. so do you think rest is the best option? or the easy 2 /3miler
nothing, on a 40mpw base I would barely recommend two hard sessions in a week so less two in a single day.
