Hello everyone, I've been having a really weird problem that once again resurfaced in today's cross country race I ran in. I can workout just fine, and my workout times indicate a much better performance than what I feel I should be doing. It seems like whenever I race, about a mile in, I develop an aweful side-stich in my left middle abdomen, something I usually never encounter in training. It also always feels like, in races atleast, my stomach is on fire. Today for instance, I truly felt I could've ran even a little faster without this pain. Could I be stressing myself out too much, indicating a more psychological based issue? Or could it be diet/hydration before a race? Any help is appreciated
