Yeah, she did not win, but did you not notice the massive PR for a 19yo who was not really expected to make the final (and 0.3s out of the medals)? Bright future ahead.
Total baller status. Outperforms Cain every year but never gets the credit she deserves. At least she doesn't have as much pressure as the Cain Train.

OK - but MF is usually reserved for highly placed finishers
she let up so much on the line too, easily could have cut off another tenth or possibly outleaned the russian

Ajee Wilson is awesome and all, but could you remind me who holds the HSR in the 800?
I can tell you who holds the American Junior record. Ajee Wilson does now!

Fair enough, but I thought she was going to medal...she ran out of gas about 20m too soon. I thought her race was more exciting than Martinez (not to take anything away from her).
Great last hour to be a USA distance fan...
Quite possibly Ajee Wilson since 1:58.21 new AJR is significantly faster then Mary Cain's 1:59.51. It simply depends on if the HS Federation will accept the mark this late in the season!
But 1:58.21 just as impressive as anything Mary Cain did this year but why put down one when we should be proud of both young ladies?

You realize that Wilson graduated in 2012, right?
Total Props to Wilson for a significant new AJR.
A high school athlete don't have to be returning to high school to be eligible for a High School record just competing in the designated time period of your senior year. The cut-off peiord has been varying over the years between the high school federation and T&FN; therefore, it's remain to be seen if they will accept the mark by the high school Senior Ajee Wilson.

Cain was superior in my book due to her winning a national championship - but then I forgot that Wilson won one herself, so I have since corrected myself. A lot to root for in athletics these days for the US - especially after the PED debacles.
It's not a matter of putting down Cain, but rather balancing the recognition, particularly noting the accomplishments that matters most. It's almost like Ajee ceased to exist the past 6 months, while Cain was marketed to near over-exposure under Nike INC and Salazar.

Ajee has a World Junior title as well.

Do you know what year it is currently, McFly?
Didn't Wilson get elbowed and pushed back by the Russian right near the finish? No DQ for the Russian for impeding Wilson? Seemed pretty blatant to me.

Maybe they will give her the Florida State school record.
