But really who is this guy? I suspect him to be another parent's basement dweller purchasing titter followers.

Some foolish fan trying to be a track journalist.
Love how Kim Smith, Kevin Sullivan, Alistair Cragg, Derek Symmonds and more jumped on him and all he could reply was, "I love Twitter." Hack.
Add Lagat and the Hansons to the list of people putting Liao where he belongs.

Hi is the idiot who was trying to hype up the Lagat "AR" attempt earlier this year - Lagat called him out.
See thread:
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=5041497Pro runners like to talk about how they want the sport to grow and become more popular. It seems they really don't. How could these people handle being athletes in a truly popular sport(and all the terrible trash talking and peanut gallery criticism that comes with it) if they get so offended over a tweet that really amounts to "I think she could have run better".
Kim Smith: "you have absolutely no clue how hard it is"
Nic Bideau: "not as easy as it looks Kevin"
Alistair Cragg: "Kevin have you ever doubled at a World level!"
Shannon Rowbury: "Appreciate that you're a fan and that you wanted more for Team USA, but please respect our effort."
There were some legitimate counters to his criticism like Kevin Sullivan arguing that there was no early move. That's a valid point. "You can't criticize us because you've never run this fast" is not valid. If this sport is really going to get to the next level we need to grow up from this jock sniffing stage.
OH GOD. I bet it's Kevin Hot Guy or whatever his name is. He just loves criticising runners.

+1
Liao seems like a hack and I think he likes to draw out the attention, but it is PATHETIC of these ATHLETES to react like this.
Only Sullivan actually responds sensibly.
Is this a pro sport or not???
Can you imagine some golf fan tweeting "Maybe Tiger Woods should have used the sand wedge" and Woods responding with "duhhhhhh...how many Masters have you won?"
LeBron James responding to every critique on Twitter by saying "duhhhhhh...how many NBA titles do you have?"
I am sure some of these "pros" will see this thread and hopefully think about how they represent the sport when they gang up on the VERY FEW fans they have.
Didn't he work for Flotrack?
Huddle's response is actually pretty solid: "I was pretty damn fatigued, actually."
Engages in a sharp way without simply cutting the guy down (for having the audacity to express an opinion as a fan without a WC medal around his neck).
Again can you imagine if some guy tweeted "getting beaten is one thing, but less than a full effort is another" after a Boston Celtics loss...and the players ATTACKING the fan for it because he isn't an NBA player?
Amateur hour.
You can see Rowbury about to cover the move once the Africans go and then change her mind a second later. Both Huddle and Rowbury are very talented and I think they short change their own talent by putting the Africans on a pedestal. These are the World Champs, what better time to take a chance and see what comes of it?

UMMMMMMM...HOW MANY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS HAVE YOU RUN?
I think the point most of these athletes were making was that without first hand experience of championship racing, its very easy for someone watching to say they should have done this, they should have done that, etc
For the record, Liao is an attention whore. Athletes obviously not familiar with the old adage 'Don't feed the trolls'

+1, +1
David Torrence told people to back off of Liao on twitter and said blame it on the poor race coverage. What does Liao do ? Turns around and slams David Torrence. Liao is an attention whore, and sound like a real dick too.

Rowbury herself even said not going with the move cost her a chance to medal.

CLASS ACT of Torrence to say "hey, let's educate this [stupid] guy."
PATHETIC of the PoS Liao to spit that back at Torrence.

This scenario is an example of why our sport will never be mainstream.
I didn't realize A Duck was such a homophobe. How long has he been fighting these urges? And I'm sure Kevin Laio will turn his attention to Alysia Montano's stupid racing tactics next, just like A Duck did.
