I don't know how to find this
Thanks for posting, pretty cool stuff.
Great video. What year is that?
Thanks for posting. i am not getting audio. Was that part of the file.
Have an old VHS copy but not sure where it is.
NM. Wasn't getting audio with Windows media player, but am with iTunes.
Jim Hunt showed this to us out at the OTC about 10 years ago. I think he said it was from the 1980 season? Conover, and Grimes were on the team around then. Tuttle much earlier.
Simply outstanding...every current HS harrier should be made to watch this and then make a decision if they are willing to put the work in like we all used to...they are way too soft nowadays.
This was the Humboldt State 1968 XC team with Tuttle, Engle, Zygaczenko, Miller, Labrie, etc. Yes, Humboldt County of northern CA is a magical place to run....great times back then!
They're working just as hard as they did then, and running faster times. The lull in the 1990s is over.

A friend of mine ran there.
I haven't seen Tuttle since 1972 and I know it was him just from his running style. That was very cool to watch. X-C is the best sport.
Thanks for posting, that was really cool. A few thoughts:
Interesting to see barefoot running back in the days before Born to Run; I used to do it a lot but feel embarrassed now after that book (which ironically I sort of liked).
Running up sand dunes; inspired perhaps by the then-recent successes of Herb Elliott et al?
The part where they run through the town and get weird looks (same weird looks they got from the cows, lol) and the camera focuses on menacing presence of the police car. It was still that way when I started; running was sort of weird thing to do, but none of us cared. In some ways it was almost better back then.
