If anyone has the book or can go from memory, I'm a bit confused on something. On pg. 211 of my book, table 5.7, there is a 52 week schedule. In the different periods...x1-x4 there are also breakdowns for weeks spent in those periods. 4x3 weeks for total of 12 weeks spent in aerobic base period for example. Ok,.so my confusion is with the rooms or suggestions for hoe MANY special workouts that are suggested for these periods...in this example 4 weeks within a 12 week period of base. Let's take the second chunk of 4 in that base period which would be the 4th to 8 week of base....it prescribes 1-2 lt sessions,.1-2 aerobic capacity sessions, and.1 anaerobic capacity session plus 4-5 aerobic sessions for a total of 7-10 running sessions....I'm guessing for a week right? Doesn't make sense to apply it to a 4 week.period for the type.of mileage prescribed too..My real question.I guess is.with the total of non aerobic conditioning sessions prescribed...using that example the total.comes out to 3- 5 of these special sessions ....a WEEK, a 4 week span??? Later in the schedule it gets up to 11 of those special sessions ....again, a week or what??? That's almost two special sessions a day for a week if the week prescription is correct. And a little too little if I were to apply it to a 4 week span earlier in the schedule.
