I'm desperately trying to get more speed. I'm realizing as I get more into running (only been running a few years) that my lack of speed is really holdingme back. I want to set a goal to run a 400 in 60 seconds. Might not get quite there but I figure I might as well try and I should get some speed by trying to get there. I know this sucks but I bet I could only run about 72 seconds currently for the 400. What types of workouts should i be doing and goal times for those workouts? I was thinking of doing a lot of 200s, hill sprints and maybe some workouts of jogging the curves and sprinting the straights. Thanks for any help and advice to help me reach my goal.
