Seems there are times when training works and you improve, but other times, no matter how hard or long I work, there is no response.
For me, it seems the experience of how I am post workout tells me much. If I am cold, sweaty and exhausted, this indicates a non recovered state, but if I work out, no matter how hard, and I feel better post workout, this is a thumbs up.
Also the sense of desire to reach is also indicative of my state. Sometimes I feel like I can volunteer for great stress and other times I find the warm up to be an ordeal.
Keeping track of this seems to be a smart way to consider state dependency as to I will be a responder or not.
