I suck at running and I don't care. The act itself is cathartic and it helps keep the weight off. I don't race and don't understand why most people do. I run for me and that's all that matters. Now go F yourself.

Feels great because this effort is all that's needed to dominate local 5k's and get all the hot chicks
Let's be real bro, that double will never be accomplished.
I'd rather waste time running when it will never earn me a dollar on my free time. Rather than playing poker and sitting around and getting older and fatter. I enjoy running even when now its an effort to run 8:30 pace for 6 miles.
The guys that are slower than 15:00 pace and a still pumped for training might get down to 14:20. Or qualify for the Olympic Trials in the marathon.
Being an athlete crosses every level. My dad has played raquetball in a league for 35 years and he was never more than a local B level. And at 65 he would kick my butt.
Someone dedicated to to something that is self-centered and ultimately meaningless is still living their life freely.
You are only young for so long. Enjoy that part of your life. Life will never be the same when you have to give that up and compete in the real world.
nice job OP for finally breaking 15. now you get to roll with the big boys

For real. I look like Vin Diesel and can still win 5k's every weekend in 16 flat. I've got a crossfit model's body.
Do you want a party for finally breaking 15 OP?
Woo great job OP you joined a group that many 16 yr olds don't even take that seriously
if the OP is NOT trolling, he probably broke 15 for his first time a few hours ago with a 'blazing fast' 14:59.95
1/10, yet i'll answer honestly.
it sucks balls to be slow and have a fragile running body. quite honestly, it's painful more often than not.
even in my dreams i can't run fast, literally. there are times i can jump off the tops of buildings, land on my feet like it's no thing and keep walking, and i have even had a recurring dream since childhood where i can breathe underwater (this one is always the same, where i think i'm going to drown, then take a little "sip" of water and realize there is oxygen in water, then start breathing freely) yet i have never ever ever been able to run fast in my dreams.
that being said, i can ride a bike faster than all but a select few and that is a lot of fun. yet i would gladly give that up to be able to run fast.
so if you can actually run fast, do it as much as you can while you can!

Well I only got my 1:45 800m PB. It didn't get me to the Olympics, but I'll live.
you are hurting my feelings magnificent fast guy on the internet
i'd kill for a 21:30
My 5k PR fro cross is 15:40, but hey, they don't run the 5k much in high school.
In college I will probably break 15 during my first track season.
So laugh now, but when my talented @ss is an All American in a few years, I'll be asking your slow b!tch @ss what its like to be bad at running because you can't break 14:30.

Depends on what you would be doing instead.
Okay, future college dropout...

Isn't being bad at running kind of subjective? I mean if you can move your legs in such a way that both feet aren't on the ground at the same time, then aren't you running? And if you're running, how can you really be bad at it if you're meeting the criteria? You may not be as fast at it as someone, but you aren't bad at it...
feels good man
It feels moderately gratifying and worthwhile to have put in the consistent effort over time to get a lot better than I was. It's also impressive and humbling to see the performances those with real talent and/or dedication are capable of.
It was something I always wanted to do, but didn't quite make it. Unless you count age grading. Then I kill it.
