The Biomechanics lab at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is looking for individuals to participate in our research study for a Master's Thesis.
To participate you should be a runner average 20 miles per week or more, injury free, and between the ages of 18-45. This study is specifically geared towards forefoot runners - thus, we are looking for runners who make contact with the ground on their toes or the front part of the foot and have little to no heel contact throughout the stride.
The study involves a hard effort on a treadmill in our lab, over which several different types of data will be collected. There is also an option afterwards of participating in a separate visit in which oxygen consumption data is collected, from which VO2 max can be determined.
Help further the research field, check out our lab, and learn about your running form!
