No it's not a mistake for Salazar to be saying this. He's pressuring her to sign with Nike, indicating the reward is his precious coaching. But she needs to explore all of her options (NB, Brooks, Nike, etc) and not just look at the coach but also the contract terms.
There is no chance that she won't sign with nike.
I think Jordan has smart parents who will make sure she doesn't make any hasty decisions. She's a smart girl herself so I'm sure she, her parents, and her coaches thus far will help her make the best decision.
If that decision means not signing with Nike, then so be it.
But I think she'll sign with Nike. She's a marketing dream. She's always worn Nike products, even as a little kid setting USATF youth records. I'd be surprised to see her not sign with Nike.
I don't think Salazaar's group is the best for her though.
She should go somewhere where she will be the focus. That is not with Alberto (he has 2 Olympic medalists), Lisa Uhl already proved that a youngster will not be a good fit with Jerry's kids.
Need to think outside the box.

Jordan has been a superstar performer since the 7th grade, a name everyone knows, and a name girls look up to as a role model.
Lisa Uhl came on strong in her collegiate career, not too many know the name as comparable to a Jordan Hasay. Plus, Lisa is not doing so well now, but lets hope she bounces back.
Jordan Hasay, on the other hand, at the young age of 21 years, is a true superstar who has an unbelievable future ahead of her.
Whoever Jordan joins with, it will be awesome. However, I can see a NIKE commercial with her and Michael Jordan running a race, with Jordan H. announcing her new NIKE Jordan running shoe. What a money market she is.
Who is this Jordan Hasay every one is talking about? Is it the bad interviews? She interviews worse only than Galen Rupp. Could you imagine how bad an interview with her and Galen Rupp would be? It would be terrible.

Ridiculous logic. Jordan could have signed with Nike right out of HS if she wanted for more money than she'll get today. She was at her highest point when she broke the HS record in the Olympic trials final and then 4th at world jrs.
