Hey guys, today I did an 800m race against my coach. Ran 2:03 and did 4 200s and 3 100s afterwards. 200s were 28s and 13s for 100 I have section next tuesday and I need to run 9:15 to make to state. I have 9:38 p.r. from last and 15:30 5k. I need a workoit that predicts a sub 9:15. Thanks
Assuming proper training all season and now some tapering, you COULD get down to 9:15, but man that's quite a jump. Best I ever saw was a kid who had been running in the low 9:50s and then suddenly busted a 9:25 to make it to the state meet.
Can you qualify in another way other than the auto-qualifier? I guess the top dogs are all faster than that so that you can't be top 4 in your region or whatever is required in your state?
