Who is the coach of Maria Mutola? Does anyone have any training information on her? (Weight room, track ect..)
Her coach is Margo Jennings and she also coaches Kelly Holmes. Thats all I know.
Margo resides in Eugene, Oregon. She began coaching Maria while Maria was attending high school (Springfield, OR) as an exchange student from Mozambique. Maria did not compete as a collegian, going pro after high school. Margo's first husband, Jeff Fund, also helps with Maria's contracts, travel arrangements, etc. Margo Jenning coaches both Maria (who owns property in South Africa) and Kelly Holmes via internet and phone. Margo, and current husband, Bobby Jennings travel to S. Africa at least once a year, and Maria makes occasional visits to Eugene. One cannot argue with the rapport and success that the relationship has achieved during the past 10 years.
