i'm a high school senior and will be running at a top d3 next year. i hate high school track and xc and how not-seriously my coaches/teammates take it. i have a 30-40 mpw background with little to no strengthwork. i have pr's of 4:25, 1:59, 53.1, and 15:57 for 1600, 800, 400, and XC 5k. I really feel like I'm not living up to my potential and its pretty frustrating. How much do runners like me tend to improve in college? How will I adjust? Any responses are appreciated!
