It gets geometrically more difficult to train well and recover the older you get, especially when you are in your early forties. Wait and see you young fellows.

Very impressive! That is a solid time at any age. There are a lot of small colleges that don't have anyone that fast.

Btw: Lagat was 3:34/3:54. I would however be surprised if he could still run sub 3:40 by the time he's 45. I actually would be surprised if he still competes at age 45. Maybe on the roads only...

Great run Cush !!! That just boggles my mind. I'm hoping just to sniff a sub 4:00, and you go out and make the rest of us feel even slower. I hope in five years I'll even be within ten seconds of that. My foray into the 1500 is in two weeks, but I'll probably wind up leading the thing, as these little meets here just don't go that deep. 3:55 for thirteenth. That'll win most things in these parts. Congrats on a great run. The old guys are coming out of hibernation now !!!

Depends if Lagat is still making the money while still on the juice. I don't blame anyone who doesn't think / know Lagat is juicing; however, making a future claim for 45 year-old who is on a different sauce with different incentives makes me believe that you don't know much about the real sport of running when you're 30 or when you're 45.

I had the opportunity to run the spirit run 10k at fashion island a few weeks ago. We were there on a little spring break and I was really impressed with the way runners conduct themselves in your area. Lots of class all around...I saw your name in the 5k results, I would've brought a runningtimes for you to sign if I had known.

Congrats to CCM on his 1500! You guys are really an inspiration. I'm only in my early 30s, but I'm using some of your training/wisdom to do my best to not slow down for the next ten years, hopefully it works!
