Only on letsrun could you find people so negative as to find something wrong with this. Really?
osu is becoming the mecca of middle and distance running. They have won cross 3 times in the past year and currently have a 13.15 5k guy on the team , 4-5 sub 4 milers. It seems a place where talent gets developed no matter if they are foreigners or not.

Burnouts by outdoor? The usual?
Again, acting as the @sshole that you always complain that everyone else in here is.
Oklahoma traitors
Being the mecca of middle and distance running would mean they should have a good DMR, which they never seem to do.
because they are the 'distance mecca' is exactly why they wouldn't have a good dmr, as the dmr includes the 400. how many distance runners can run the 46 needed to be competitive in order to be competitive in that event?
a good 4xMile on the other hand isn't out of the question.

Have they really?!? Holy shit, if this is true then saying they are becoming a mecca is the understatement of the century!

Yeah, because not a single leg of the DMR would be considered a distance event on its own.
Got it.
distance doesn't matter. the race is so close...almost to the finish line!
Yawn----that's great--reallly interesting--I'm a warm bath guy after workouts--how 'bout you fellas?
You and mister potato head have reading comprehension problems. The quote was that they are a middle and distance running mecca. Not just distance. If you go back and read it 30 times, maybe you can figure it out.
The 3 most important legs of the DMR are middle distances.
osu is just showing everyone that they are a team that can get it done , they can develop prospects into sub 4 min millers, they can win cross year after year , some recognition is well worth it .... all the haters are going to bring up counterarguments but the facts speak for themselves....
If OSU can get it done, why was the majority of their team foreigners for xc?
Please do not kid yourself. If your heritage is Kenyan and you were born there, chances are Dave is your new found best friend.
However, he's got some Romanians, a German, and he does recruit British fellows too. Spicing up his foreign fetish.
Seems like you guys know a lot about your country and heritage.
You have no 'real' American running sub 4 miles. The people you refer to as 'real" americans were the foreigners not so long ago. Why the racism and rejection? So jealous and embittered because someone is better than you but you think they steal your place in the spotlight?

So sad to see the state of U.S. distance running these days. A buncho f plastic Americans garnishing all the awards while Real Americans are unappreciated.
Which begs the question- how long until Real American Galen Rupp takes EVERY crown from Bernie (who ran as a Kenyan at the highest level and is therefore the definition of a Fake American)?
Why should anyone listen to you when you demonstrate how big of an idiot you are when you misuse phrases like "begs the question?"
Did the Michigan guys all do it in the same race? OSU actually has 5 sub 4 guys. Botezan ran 3:58 last year and was 7th at the indoor championships
Race video here:
A race set up by Ok State, looks like Casey just took the ride. Dont expect him to feature in Fayetteville in March. Good run, nice time, obviously a little too fit for this time of the year.
What is the threshold that separates a "hobbyjogger" from a "sub-elite" runner?
Caitlin Clark thinks she can beat Eagles draft pick Cooper Dejean in 1 on 1
Cade Flatt with yet another DNF, this time in the SEC Championships
Do "running influencers" harm the competitive nature of the sport?
