As long as he learns how to race.

I think the word you are looking for is throw, not through.

Hall is strong and rarely injured, and favors and responds well to the kind of training that is required to run a fast marathon (high mileage, fast aerobic running). However, I suspect Canova's impact will be as much psychological as physiological. I sense Hall's dream is a WR, and I believe Canova knows this and will inspire Hall to chase this dream. Look out for a 2:04 in 2014.
Agree, minues the rarely injured part. In his mind he is now with the best coach in the world that his helping him be the fastest runner he can be, while enjoying the training! That's something special.
Does anyone actually think Hall will stay under Canova for more than a year? I just don't see him sticking it out. Nor do I see 2:05 or better times ahead for Hall no matter who is coach is.
I heard that Hall is just scared that Rupp is going to destroy him in the marathon and that this is a desperate attempt to stay on top of the heap in the US for a few more years. Good luck to him.
World Record.
I think his fall marathon will be good. I wouldn't be surprised if he runs Boston again this year, in which case he'll be going for the win and won't run a crazy time. I would like to see him run a fast course though. Sub 2:05 next fall is doable.
Well this is what I heard wrote:

What's wrong with that? If our Galen became a marathoner, A Rupp-Hall road rivalry could only lead to faster times from both.

Except for the entire last year.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
