The original Adios is probably the best racing flat I've ever had. Is the Adios 2 much different?

The adios 2 felt completely different to me, I actually find the Boston 3 to be closer to the original Adios.
The entire shoe simply felt like a mutant of parts from the rocket and the original adios. The transition is awful - just a terrible shoe from my perspective.
Your results may vary, I snagged up the original adios's while they were still around (most are long gone at this point).
Why would Adidas mess up the perfect racing flat? Would the Mizuno Ronin be similar to the original Adios?
I just bought the Adios 2 and really love them. Although I have never worn the first ones, I completely disagree and think that they're great shoes.
I trained regularly in Adios1's and replaced them earlier this year with Adios2's.
Both are VERY good shoes, the Adios1 feels narrower and firmer to me. But the Adios2 feels more stable and not so firm.
Funnily enough I wrecked my Adios2 during XC at the weekend so I took my old Adios1's to the track for my workout and they felt awesome.
So for me, they are both superb flats and are great for workouts and racing. But if I had to choose between the 2 of them as my favourite, I really couldn't give you an answer to that. I bought a pair of new Adios2's online yesterday to replace my now wrecked pair, I am glad in a way you can't get the Adios1 for sale anywhere any more as I really would hate to have to choose between then if it came to parting with my money.....
I find the 2 to be much firmer and have a more segmented ride, if that makes sense. In the 1 I could get that feeling of rolling along; that hasn't happened in the 10 months I've had the 2.
On the other hand, outsole durability is 2 is way better than than on the 1. I'd wear away the toe part of the 1's outsole within a few hundred miles.
