Not a troll! I have some friends that are 30 minute 5k types who run 3 or 5 times per week for 3 or 4 miles per run. Most of them want to move up to the 10k more than they want to get faster in the 5k, but that is also a secondary goal. I'd like to get them a book that is:
1. Short and accessible.
2. Covers the basics like long runs, threshold runs, hills, strides, etc...
3. Is tailored towards casual runners who run about 15 to 20 miles per week.
I'd love to see my friends get in a 60 to 75 minute long run once a week, do some hills to get stronger, and some strides and interval work to get faster (even if it's just "run fast for thirty seconds at the start of every song". I think that's pretty realistic on their schedule, but they need the structure.
