The reasons that this does not make sense are: There are tight scholarship limits and if the foreigner did not have it someone else would have. Also, there are only seven spots on the squad and you are not allowing them to be filled either. Finally, the race strategy is different (e.g., Wisconsin does not send Brill at a hard pace that will either give them the shot at first but likely not hurt them if it fails. Here, it matters. This is just an example of why the thread is not worth the effort even if there is not a xenophobic component to it.

It would not be racism that someone would be accusing you of, although that is usually lost on the boobs on here, it would be xenophobia.

Many of the foreigners you are talking about are the same race as most of the American NCAA XC-runners. It is a safe bet that the Irish, English, Canadian, German, and the occasional South African runners who are not American Nationals are still Caucasian racially.
