Well it appears that recruiting Andy Weaver for his 5th year was a good thing for Martin Smith.

13 Taye, Ayalew SR-4 Georgetown 4:57 30:48.65
14 Tully, Alex JR-3 Villanova 4:57 30:48.65
This is what separated Villanova and Georgetown between winning and 2nd place.
Points from Columbia (Heps), Georgia (Wisco), Wisco (Wisco, assuming they ran 4 of 7 at this meet), UVA (Wisco), EKU (Notre Dame), FSU (Notre Dame), and Michigan (Notre Dame). Should be enough

Actually, if they were given the same time to the hundrethd then Villanova and Georgetown were first equal.

unoffical... LOOKS like OU in a tie breaker .. or do they to 1st to score
If a tie does not need to be broken in order to advance to Nationals (and the top two advance automatically, no?), then NCAA rules are followed: it's a tie, period.
At Nationals themselves: if two teams get the same score, they've tied. That includes podium teams.
I've applauded the NCAA for years now, for having had the sense to establish this rule. Your sixth finisher already had her/his chance to affect the scoring--why should s/he get another?

6th man?
Oregon's women, led by Jordan Hasay, easily win the West. It looks like Florida State and Oregon are the two teams to beat at Nationals next weekend. Great race by Jorday Hasay, congratulations to her.
GO JORDAN!!! Back in the title hunt for next week. She might just get that storybook ending.

Wisco and Ahmed win the men's race, while Michigan and Ohio U's Julie Accurso win the women's.

Them thar white boy foreigners are even dominating the US guys.
Which team will win at nationals, Americans or white imports?
Obviously black imports crush everyone.
WOW! What a late season run for Hasay. W/ the women only running 6K, recovery is faster, and so to is the training effect of a hard race - she is back in the real hunt for a NCAA XC title. Superb!

What happenned to Jeremy Rae and Terefe Ejigu?
Rae was among leaders at 2k split, then gone. A normal finish for him would have put ND 3rd.
Ejigu was 24:25 @ 8k, which would have been top 5 at that point.
Jordan tweeted this comment 3 hrs before the race on flotrack!...she knew something special was going to happen today!
