Anyone know where Burcham is considering?
I would love to see what Wetmore could do with Bernie Montoya. That would be completely sick.
The reason He doesn't recruit the blue chips is because
of his ego.He sees himself as a great guru who should be
be idolized.I'm surprised he didn't auction his ponytail
off.
You couldn't be more wrong. He's real humble and does not like the spot light. Wetmore isn't the most sociable sort. He's just not a natural recruiter or salesman. Once you get to know him he's great. If you don't get along with Wetmore you have a character flaw. He picks up on that pretty quick.

Seems to be a real friendly almost shy person...saw him at a meet once and I guess I stared at him for a second trying to realize who he was and he just smiled and kept walking -- like he enjoys being at meets with all the runners and fans. All in all, a real credit to our sport.
If Burcham and Montoya do not go to Colorado, they need to get with Salazar. They both have the talent to join Salazar's elites and compete for olympic medals.
Burcham has his list of potential college choices cut to five and looks like he'll be making the official visits after the XC season is over.

Anyone know which five schools he is looking at?
Hopefully Stanford, Colorado, Wisco, Oregon, and maybe Oklahoma State.
what did the best CU runners have in common? they did more than they were asked to by their coach. Same everywhere. Some try it and get injured but the best survive. I've heard CU's training is comparable to other top programs, its the legacy amongst the runners their that makes them special, they like to overdue it, just like the other Colorado schools that have had success. CSU has a looooong way to go...
Not just a van driver? Since when is any coach on practically any level these days just a van driver?
Very very wrong! Mark is super cool - known him well for 20 years. Has zero ego - does recruit blue chip. He is a Guru without a doubt though! Doesn't get any better anywhere... Period
