Oh, did Kipsiro have bronchitis? I wonder why he ran then.
No, I was healthy.
It was pretty embarrassing to lose by 11 seconds to the sick mzungu.
Well, yeah, a retarded monkey could have called that one after seeing the rain.

How dare you call me a "retarded monkey"! I demand respect fro predicting that Galen Rupp would not break 12:53 on a night where the winner ran 12:58!

Pay attention. He wasn't talking to you or even the OP. The OP said Rupp would not break 12:55 and he was right.

Pay attention. I AM the OP. Somebody stole my handle.
I predicted that Rupp would not break 12:53. The winner ran 12:58, therefore I am correct.

NOBODY under 12:53, including Gebremeskel.
I nailed it.
That's the only thing you're going to nail. boom!
The whole thread, is lame, and the race, as it turned out by the weather and those that dns, turned out to not be an important race.
In the end what will be remember from this season will be the Olympcis.
Rudisha couldn't even win today.

No, you are NOT the OP, as you lack the requisite wit and intelligence. Why you would so desperately want to be me is understandable yet pathetic.

that one too wrote:The OP got it right. Rupp struggled to break 13 as he ran 13:09. Rupp would have done well to finish in the top 8. Rupp finished 9th. Lagat beat Rupp. Check, check, check.

Translation: I, A Duck, am going to cry and whine because my boy Galen did not run well, which means it "turned out not to be an important race," and let's see if we can forget about this.
What a jock sniffing tool you are.
You have a rather sad obsession with Galen Rupp.

zurich is always an important race
historically it is most prestigious circuit meet in the year
weather being shiit ruined it today, but zurich winners are always considered best 1-off runners ( with caveats - aman is certainly not best 1-off 800 guy )

Not this year (Aman, Koech, Diro).
SPMBLNPF,
How is it you're able to calculate down to the nearest second what someone is capable of running?
If I say Galen can run 12:52.23, you will say I am 2.77 seconds off, at least. How can you possibly achieve such accuracy?????? Serious question.
SPMBLNPF is probably jacking off to his correct prediction. "Oh yeah, I was finally right! Oh yeah, I'm the best troll on Letsrun! Oh yeah, this is one of my few accomplishments this year!"

Of course, there has been some chatter about Galen attempting to break the U.S. 5000m record tomorrow in Zurich. This is not going to happen, as Galen's ceiling at 5000m is 12:55. Now even some of you dimwits can ascertain that if one's ceiling is 12:55, it is quite difficult to run 12:53. Galen will struggle tomorrow to even break 13, but I am not ruling out that he sets a personal best. Bernard Lagat is going to be ahead of Galen, and Galen will do well to finish in the top 8. Now that I have spoken, there is not much to do but wait for the unfolding of the obvious which I have written above.
He will break it next year when he is fresh and gets into a fast, paced race.

Funny way to look at it. In every race there will be some folks who have a bad race.
Not real sure you should pat yourself on the back for beating the folks who are having an off day. In fact, I sort of think that the point is to beat the folks who are having a good day.

Well, it is a gift that I possess, and I am not sure that I am able to impart this to others. I do believe it helps to be objective in one's appraisal, to not let emotions and wishful thinking cloud judgment, and to have the capacity to glean insight from past performances and patterns of trajectories. I would not be so arrogant as to assume that I would know whether Galen will finish with a career personal best of 12:58.90, 12:57.28, or 12:55.38, for example, but I can ascertain that Galen cannot run faster than 12:55 because I am able to see that he is brushing up against his ceiling currently, and even next year will likely not be as fast on the track as this year. This year was Galen's zenith, and he has now plateaued and will be on the decline regarding his track speed in the next year or two.

Oh, no! What ever will you do with all of your newfound free time? Obsessively troll Centrowitz?
