Broke his left fibula bone. Crazy what adrenaline does.

tough, tough guy and we owe him big time for this. Good luck to him on his recovery. When he recovers he deserves a permanent spot on our relays. We need a warrior like that.

Seriously what a boss. Serious respect.
Wow. Hearing/sensing the break and continuing....wow.
That's how we raise them in Cullowhee, NC.
So the question is: Who replaces him for the finals?
Wow. If USATF doesn't have an award for ballsiest athlete at the games, they need to make one up for him.
He is the "Kerri Strugg" of the 2012 games.
They gave it that Norwegian guy already.
Damn. Ouch. What a hardass.
He initially slipped on a stairway to cause the issue. Isn't that how Solinsky was injured? Elite runners should only live in single level houses and always take the elevator.

^LIKE^
Won't he get a medal if they win in the final since he ran in the semi final? Does it work that way in the Olympics?
I fractured my foot once in a 5k at the first mile. It made it awkward to finish and slowed me down by a few seconds the longer the race went on, but the pain didn't mount until the swelling started post-run. At least this guy can feel good while he's watching it from the sidelines.
Yes I admired him after hearing about him continuing to run with a broken bone in his leg. It's not necessarily adrenaline that keeps him going, more of his desire to get the job done. I hand a clean break of a bone in my left hand and worked 2 days before going to the hospital. Desire to get the job done.
