the only guy in the race he mighta any marginal fear of was nixon, who also has gone 3'29
however, that move 20 - 30m from bell tells me he fears no one now
they might even "team" the 1500, with each leading for a lap, with nixon taking it to the bell in hopefully ~ 2'34
they can race the last lap & sweep the medals
Ventolin,
I have been saying this too.
Kiplagat is one hell of a racer and if they can just make it to the finals, kiprop can take them out fast at the gun with kiplagat doing the second lap and Nixon the third or thereabout.
Kiprop shouldn't have to wait for the bell and can take it out justnthe way he did in Monaco.
That epway, they stretch out the field in a single file thus;
1. Reducing the chances of being tripped and falling
2. " " " " " " boxed in
3. Killing off everyone
4.increasing the chances of a clean sweep.
It can be done but Kiprop has to take charge.
The most painful thing is that Kiprop might trudge along in the tenth position with a lap to go and see him lose.
I never put it past him.
