Okay as what you know, there are maybe kenyans or ethiopians out there more talented than Tergat or Geb but they just are not interested to take the sport.
But apart from running, I think we have new talents(A BUNCH OF THEM) in Nias Island, Sumatera, for the HIGH JUMP event. These guys can actually JUMP over a 2 metre-stone( they DO NOT LEAP ON THEIR BACK like what average WORLD ATHLETES DO), on which the stone jump record still stands at 2.50s m - please take note that the stone itself was 2.50m so this guy had to jump more than 2.50m!!!
PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT SOTOMAYOR'S 2.45m still the existing recognised HJ WR.
And it's STONE JUMPING - you JUMP over the stone, there is no matress post-jump so they had to land on their BARE FEET in the sand. Can you imagine if they can jump 2.50m FROG-STYLE, what their capability would be if they LEAP over the bar in the HIGH JUMP event. I wouldnt be surprised if some of them (the nias people) with PROPER TRAINING, can LEAP the bar OVER 3 METRE!
I talk no bullshits, I hope the Discovery and NGC people would come to Nias Island in Sumatera (hundreds of thousands miles from Bali island - so you are safe there)
and cover the stone jumping martial tradition. And yes the JUMP record stands over 2.50ms from what I know from my friend compatriot in Sumatera. ( I believe it of course since you had to jump the first initial 2-metre-stone before you proceed to another higher stone)
So, IAAF and high jump association ppl, if you wanna see HJ record over 3m, COME TO NIAS AND TRAIN THESE PPL!
Karangasem in Jakarta.

Another enticing destination is Nias Island, off the west coast of Sumatra. The martial tradition of Nias is stil evident in the bizarre sport of stone jumping. Contestants fling themselves over stone more than 2 m high, sword in hand: once a useful art for a raiding party trying to clear the walls of a hostile village. The Sorake and Lagundri beaches are well-known surfing destinations (among the top five in the world.) International surfing competitions are held annually.
