If I read the results from Thursday right, Riley Masters was next in line. Since he'd have to take a little more than SIX seconds off his PB to get the Olympic A standard, it hardly seems likely Brown denied him a chance to make the team.
More to the point, if I understood Brown's interview, he injured his Achilles while rabbiting Jordan McNamara's last last ditch attempt to get the A standard.
Helping a guy get an A so you have more competition hardly seems like a douchebag move.
