Natosha Rogers, NCAA champ, FELL right after NBC cut away (figures), and Rogers is back into 3rd after sprinting 300 meters. Amateur mistake..she will pay for it.
Good call there buddy.

Flanagan didn't make it???
Rogers performance of the women's race. What a gutty run. taking the lead with 150 to go and just tough tough running.
And Hutchings for NBC really improves their commentary. Yeah, there are errors, but this is a dramatic improvement for NBC.
Ritz was 4th marathon trials, made 10K team tonight. Hastings was 4th marathon trials, made 10K team tonight.

anybody else think uhl was limping? im not familiar with her normal stride, but something didnt look right. no kick either, which seems odd for her
nevermind. said her shoe was untied. didnt matter. she could have walked the race and still made the team
running the marathon instead
"A lot of drama in the men and womens 10,000m"
What drama?!
Are you clueless? Shalane would make it if she wanted but she's doing the marathon. She ran 3 hours the other day and clearly wasn't going to have the kick the others, who are peaking, would have.
Uhl was limping because her shoe was untied for almost all of the race and she wasn't sure what to do.
as chgray said "Teg: lees summit to London" Now Hastings: Leavenworth to London! great race Amy.

Is NBC really going to end the broadcast with a mile to go? They have always been horrible, but that would be a new form of suck.
No.
Bawcom spent most of the race in lane 2, as a math major that made me cringe pretty hard.
isn't the team gonna be Hastings, ROGERS, Uhl?? Why are people saying Bawcom?
Did Rogers really fell in the middle of the race, and had to sprint 300 meters?

Yep, it's Hammonds. And he's still talking about people needing to move up to make the team, even though it's now set in stone. They are total morons.
Tim Hutchings a moron?
The only moron around here is you nitwit.
Can someone explain why Tom Hammonds continues to announce distance races when he is on record over 4 or 5 trials as doing a terrible job on those races, not knowing the culture, rules or how to pronounce names. Did he pronounce Ritz's name properly, after having 8 years to practice?

Does Rodgers have the A standard?

Rogers doesn't ave the A.

Uuuuh, disagree big time. Aside from a 5-second fall, Rogers ran in the middle of the lead pack for the entire race until the last 20 seconds. If you want to talk about gutsy running, Hastings lead the entire second half of the race and won the race. That's gutsy, tough tough running. Both ran outstanding races, especially Rogers with a huge PR, but it was not gutsy.

Ah, right. I'm not sure if she does actually.
rogers doesn't have the A standard, but she is good and could probably get it in Europe if chasing were allowed this year. her move was strong but hastings was very tough and came back with authority. damn shame that stream wasn't available for the men's 10k or gasp earlier events. we could watch stanford 10k's on the net, hs xc nats, the nba finals, but no to olympic trials. way to build the sport, nbc.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
