Like Jenny B should have? The steeple isn't a money maker. If he thinks he can win a cross title or break some NCAA records, he will be able to get a better contract.
Cabral is a very good xc runner, but no, he cannot win xc (Lalang, Sambu, Chelimo, Estrada, etc.). And last I checked he has run 4 years of outdoor already so there will be no more NCAA steepling for him. There just isn't much incentive to go to Colorado for Cabral.
On the other hand, it'd be great to see a young core of American steeplers on the rise.
How are Oklahoma State looking?
Jordan Hasay will not beat Natosha Rogers
It'll be a tough top 3 with Colorado, Wisconsin and BYU with Oklahoma State with the possibility to beat all three, but only if everyone has a good day. BYU has the best shot out of anyone and I can see Texas getting 5th, but then winning it all in 2013 and 2014.
I can't see a team jumping from 11th to 1st in a span of one year even with everyone returning, especially at the D1 level.
Oregon will be a top 10 team.
My predictions
1. BYU
2. Colorado
3. Wisconsin
4. Oklahoma State
5. Texas
6. NC State
7. Syracuse
8. Oregon
9. Minnesota
10. Princeton
I would definitely put Oklahoma in that top 10. They will likely be around Texas and NC State.
lol Hasay>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Rodgers
Is anybody knowledgeable and bold enough to predict the All-Americans?
Wisconsin will win again next year I think they will do it pretty easily. They easily have 3 guys (Conner, Ahmed & Darling) in the top 20. Plus I was able to confirm that Tim Nelson (13:57) is transferring from Wisconsin Stout to compete in CC for his senior season.
Coming up with a 5th and 6th guy will be easy. Just to name a couple:
Shields, Brice, Hacker plus a slew of Red Shirt Freshman. Plus I heard they might be getting another transfer.

Based on the track season just ended, Finnerty (3:38), Brill (8:37) and Van Voorhis (14:08) should be in the mix.
Found it.
Lelei Chelimo Ward
Rotich Lalang Krause DeMatteo
Clarkson Dunbar Dohner
Torotich Ahmed Bouchikhi
Cotter Mecheso Katam Williams
Hardy Stinson Fauble Loy
Smith Rooney Dennin
Orta Quigley Mayhew
VanHalen Mulherin Faut
Hill Ejigu Johnson
Bayer Chebet Springer
Keveren Spisak Colley
King
how were you able to confirm this? also biggest LOL at hacker being 6th or 7th man
Colorado is going to be good with the addition of Donn Cabral. Arizona will have Sambu and Lalang who could go top two.

As much as I would love to see Nelson run for the Badgers and help them win another title...I would hate to see him leave the coach that made him the runner that he is. He has a system that is working for him and would hate to see his development stalled by changing to a new training program and environment. I understand that he MIGHT even make more progress at Wisconsin, but at this point that is a big chance to take.
1) Hasay
2) Flood
3) D Agostino
4) Rodgers
5) Sisson
This year's womens 10k team might be the weakest of the entire US track and field team....So not completely sold on Rodgers yet.
What makes you think Hasay or Flood can beat D'Agostino? Given their recent trajectories and the fact that D'Ag was one second back of Hasay in XC (and Flood was well beaten at 6k XC), I'd give D'Agostino the nod.
1. D'Agostino
2. Hasay
3. Flood
4. Rogers
5. Sisson
There will be a slew of others next, such as Kroeger, Goethals, Tuliamuk, Cuffe, FL State girls, Woodward. For frosh, I think Cayla Hatton and Haley Pierce will be tops. Expect the winning time to be in the 19:20s.

It's running. More simple than people think. Plus I'm pretty sure Mick Byrne has some experience in this field.

I don't know whether Nelson is actually transferring to UW Madison or not, but if he is I think it would be a good move. What more does he have to gain in D3? There's nobody there to push him. I think he'd have an outside shot of being an All American in D1 this fall. And, it's not like he's going to keep training in Menominee, WI as a post collegiate, so he'd be leaving in January anyway.
I'm on board with your individuals. That top 5 with Kroeger, Goethals and Tuliamuk....all of them very talented. Cuffe has the talent too but we'll have to see if she takes that next step forward.
As far as the team title, Washington looks very strong with Flood and Goethals. Florida State has alot coming back from a great team so they should be right there. Oregon, Stanford, Georgetown and Providence all really solid but they also have their question marks. Does Oregon have enough depth behind Hasay? Pappas will help but do the their girls who are better on the track take a step up in cross country? Stanford was really young so what type of progress will their girls make in the offseason? Georgetown will be leaderless without Emily Infeld but they return redshirts Rachel Schneider and Maddie Chambers and add Haley Pierce. While they have great depth, they don't have that one dominant runner. Providence. How do they respond from their late season collapse? Do they finally find some runners to fill out the back part of their lineup?
