In fact, it is hypertensive physically; just check your pulse and blood pressure before and after ingesting THC.
You have to understand that THC retards performance in the short term for an endurance athlete, there is just no rational scientific debate otherwise. HOWEVER, if you understand how to use it to increase proprioceptive awareness and are able to volley that into additional athleticism, it is an easy argument as to how THC has the potential to be massively performance enhancing in the long term, but not while using it as it absolutely leeches physical vitality.
False. It lowers blood pressure. Some people might have increased pulse while high, but if you're smoking a few times a week at most, your bp will be lower as a result. I also understand that it's not some miracle drug with no negative side effects, but high-fructose corn syrup is a much worse drug to be ingesting as a distance runner. It's far more addicting, and will leech physical vitality much more. Alcohol is also much worse for distance running, both from a physiological and psychological standpoint, yet scores of runners drink fairly regularly.
That being said, smoking every day won't make you a better runner. Smoking anything will make you a worse runner. But like you mentioned, used the correct way, cannabis can enhance performance due to non-physiological reasons, but very few users of the drug use it the "right" way in my opinion. I'll never judge, but most stoners need to learn that their behavior isn't as harmless as it seems, I've experienced this firsthand.
10/10, OP. Your original post was a complete joke, and you're still getting bites. Though, it's become a fairly productive conversation.
