From 1963 to 1965, in less than two years, Ron Clarke improved the 10,000m world record by about 39 seconds. Over the next 28 years, the world record improved a total of less than 32 seconds. Do you conclude that Ron Clarke was doping? And do you believe that it is somehow relevant to your conclusion that Clarke was "active all or part of that [28-year] time frame"?
If anything, Geb's career over the fourteen years since his 26:22 provides strong evidence that his performances in the 1990s were not enhanced by doping practices that would be detectable these days.
