Just saying Kennedy ran 14:14 as a freshman is misleading if you don't put it in context. He was NCAA champ in XC and in the 1500 as a freshman. I'm sure that 5k was an indoor rust buster or a tactical conference race. He was Foot Locker champ and ran 4:06 in high school off of very low mileage. Of course he worked hard but he was clearly a tremendous talent so let's not lose sight of the fact that he didn't just will himself to greatness.

Bruther you got that rite. Nothin butt a lame exceuse for bashinge Kennedy, Rup and of cors Spentgeezer has to bring Salanski into the micks. Bunch of middel skoolers on this bord.
Fear of the future which lacked the attention that he needed and thus he will never be able to give attention to the next generation.
Rupp has defined long distance running for the last 8 years. Rupp may actually receive attention for his running in about three months, although given the pathetic state of track media, even that is not a given.
Bob will not be happy if Rupp is given the acclaim that he wanted so badly. I hope that those chosen to report from London are not the same as those who failed to receive attention.
You could be the most annoying person on these message boards. Betcha there are more distance runners that could run sub 12 out of blocks than there are sprinters that could run a sub 17 5k...............You do say the same thing over and over again...and normally when you post on a thread i stop reading it.. you seriously blow and always have negative things to say...go somewhere else...you really seem like a mean, depressed, old man
You obviously don't read the sprinting threads, or threads such as the ones where I praise Jeilan, Webb, Rupp, etc.
