For the reason mentioned above (subsequent entry of Africans en masse into the sport), Rupp is already ahead of Pre, relative to other Euro/American runners. This compares apples more to apples, rather than to the entire produce section. This is particularly evident in the 10000 where Rupp is well clear of the other non-Africans.
