I may have just made a powerpoint outlining such a reality show, and sent it to my friend who's big into filming and editing. And by may have i mean that definitely just happened.
#relentless
was it ever established what happened to tuesday? this whole thing seems questionable at best
From the blog: "There are only two rules, partially because there are no official, written rules for The Bicentennial"
So, lets make some official, written rules. Talking about the 5% is pretty important, and based on all I've seen and what research I've done on my own, that seems like a good one.
the idea of not having a set timeframe, but treating it like a real running event, seems important too.
Is it important to keep it all coming from bottles/cans? this pitcher thing seems questionable.
obviously i'm just throwing these things out there, but i think that there should be something for people to reference so there is a standard of excellence for future participants. So I'm lookin for input, especially from Fast Guy, about "Official Rules"
I want in. Also, should it be a rule that the last mile and 4 beers of your 100/100 needs to be done as a beer mile? Would definitly be an awesome end to to a hell of a few days.

Personally, I don't think it would make sense for it to be a required rule for the bicentennial to end with a beer mile (no need to have people arguing if an attempt is legitimate due to someone not ending in this fashion). However, I do believe that this should be an encouraged, yet not required, characteristic of the bicentennial!

Because I said so.
Fair enough. You do realize how much more bada$$ it would be to finish with a beer mile right? Doesn't even have to be fast, just a chill 9:00 run. You could get lots of specators and other pu$$ies who didn't participate in the challenge in it, make it a whole spectacle. I just feel it would be awesome. If I can ever get the time to attempt a 100/100/<80 that's how I'm finishing it.
You can't be badass, but can be a pussy, if you use $ instead of the letter 's'.

Does one gain weight or lose weight doing the 100/100? Lots of running, lots of empty beer calories. I guess if we apply the 100 calories per mile, and assume that any real (5% ABV) beer would be more than 100 calories, then it probably would lead to weight gain. This assumes that the basal metabolic rate doesn't overwhelm any calories of food consumed.

Until you get to hour 75 and are barely able to stay conscious. We have an unposted video of my final beer that is pretty rough. Maybe Fat Guy will post it sometime
Also, I'm neither Fast Gay nor Fart Guy. "Fast Guy" is a registered name
Theres the video of Fast finishing his last beer, this pretty well demonstrates his state for the entire last day and a half of the challenge.

I think this question should be explored...any other thoughts?

I think if you do it over a week you will gain weight, but if under 100 hours your body cannot absorb the calories faster than running burns them. You end up crapping/pissing them out.
Fair enough, letsrun told me I was in violation. Didn't take time to figure out what.
