you can't say you are doing the bicentennial challenge when you are only drinking 70 beers. by definition that is NOT the bicentennial. Sorry, but you are just a heavily invested observer to this manly feat.

Stephanie, you know as well as we do that there is a black cloud hanging over this event. We can't take your attempt seriously until you at least respond to the complaint. 70/100 does not equal 100/100 so why do you insist on calling this the Bicentennial?

Otherwise I am glad to see you and your friends are having some Spring Break fun, that is the more important thing. But just be honest about what it is you're doing, or at least respond to this and not ignore it. You want some engagement with the letsrun.com community - I assume that is why you have a blog and a letsrun.com thread - so respond to this issue that is hanging over everything.

I think this weekend I will try and go sub-4 for a full mile. I have not trained that much lately so as a handicap I will only run 900 meters.

How could you read the entire fast guy thread and then use a light beer for this challenge? As a chic, sure, it doesn't count anyway. But the guys? Lame as hell.

Who chose the pics on the blog? This looks like a collection of the worst 10 pics you took all week. One girl and two guys running and drinking together all week and the best pic you have is a girl standing next to an electric fence?

You claim to have discussed every facet of your lives, including sex lives, during these boring runs. Want to make a blog interesting? Put some of those details in! One girl and two guys drunk for a week, something sexual is going to happen. If they're not doing it with you, they're doing it with each other.

I didn't think the bicentennial challenge could be boring as hell. I was wrong. Good grief, even if they make it they will be considered lame as hell for using light beer. Quit now and come back when you're ready to attack this thing like an adult.

I presume you who are criticizing that I am doing 70 beers instead of 100 are male. If not, please correct me.

I'm a 120 lb. female doing this challenge with 200 lb. boys. Thus far, I've been drinking 10 (more or less) daily. Because the boys are frontloading the miles and backloading the beers, I was the only one consistently drunk the entire first three days, before, during and after our runs. This is when I'm drinking 30 less beers than the boys.

Please, all you manly men, can you tell me how it feels when your time of the month is postponed because you're doing extreme sports and extreme drinking?

Can you tell me how you factor in the fact that you weigh more and you have more water weight at the moment into the miles and the beers? You can't drink as much, you can't run as efficiently if you feel like a whale.

Can you tell me how it feels to be bloated and cramping and have to run 16 miles and drink 10 beers in one day, when really you want to sit in your bed and eat ice cream?

Can you tell me how you balance doing a challenge that is catered to a man when you are a woman?

We're "using" a lot of different beers for the challenge, and after our research, we found no official rules that stated that we had to use a certain alcohol content.

There are no official rules for The Bicentennial, no official authority, so our rules are just as good as anyone's. Have you ever done the challenge? Have you ever tried it?
