Anyone else disappointed by "Fat Guy"s lack of fat? I was picturing more of a doughboy tromping around and chugging beer with a wiggly stomach.

Is there an age where it would be seen as too old to attempt this feat?

Yeah, the fact that there's an explanation below the picture of which one is "fat guy" kinda shows the nickname isn't all it's made up to be.
I think once you get to your late twenties, it would probably generally frowned upon. However, if your friends are cool, just keep it between you guys and you're straight. I couldn't imagine you could work while doing this, though, and it might not be the best use of those pressure 2 weeks vacation. But F*** it. I say go for it no matter how old you are.
Fat/Fast Guy, are you guys drinking water? Between all that running and boozing, I'd guess you'd need a shit load of water, but I can't imagine having the space in your stomach for anything but beer. Is there a strategy?

I ran in the snow myself, are you guys in PA, RI, NY, DE, or NJ? Other wise you guys are in Colorado, Utah, Idaho, or Montana.
I'm guessing PA.

Water in class, beer around class. I've never pissed so much in my life.
Yes, FatGuy does not live up to the name. That fridge could stand a cleaning, but for college guys it is not too bad.

Drinking a ton of water and eating a lot too. I have a lot of stomach capacity so that's good. Strategy- always be drinking something
Fast Guy! You were at 48 miles and 44 beers through 48 hours! DUUUUDE, 100 hours is possible! You gotta go for it.
I went to Twitter and put in @2_Cents2012 and came up with nothing.
I also put "https://twitter.com/#!/2_Cents2012" directly from your post into Google. Nothing.
What am I doing wrong?
Your second try was the correct URL. Paste it into the address bar rather than Google. The Twitter idea was genius. Maybe bonus points for Fat Guy on that one.
Try pasting it into your browser's address bar. Then cringe in shame that you couldn't figure that out on your own. SHAME I SAY!
Yes, the Twitter account does indeed work. Fast Guy making the push for 100/100 in 100 hours. That means he has to be done at 4 am Friday morning. Currently at 63/60 I believe with the beer count slowly but surely rising. Fat Guy hoping he will live past Saturday. Also, Fast Guy currently trying to accomplish a group project. I'm not there, but I can only imagine...
This is a great thread, I'm loving it.
My comments: I am surprised an out of shape "fat" guy could try 100 miles in a week (with 100 beers) after almost ZERO running in a few years. That seems unlikely.
And I KNOW a guy with "low alcohol tolerance" couldn't knock back 100 beers in 100 hours (along with 100 mile) like this fast guy is on pace to do.
But this doesn't mean they aren't doing what they are saying, it just means they played up their supposed weaknesses.
Hey, if people want to know who they are, how many 2:28 US marathoners under age 21 are there? He must have run this time in the last few years, so who is some recent US lists?
Sorry to try and out you, but maybe it will make more people believe.
thanks for the support. but im not sure why knowing my name proves this is for real. if i was making it all up i would still be a real person. hopefully the twitter is proof enough. hope to get some more material up there soon
i sit here sipping a warm bud (ive learned room temperature is actually the way to go) and just moved up to 74 miles with a similar amount of beers. also blue powerade is nectar of the gods. that stuff is amazing for sobering you up

confirmed. im giving it a shot
new theory- alcohol tolerance isnt that important. all that means is you dont get drunk as fast. but more important for the 100/100 is the ability to process that alcohol and i think thats independent of tolerance. and apparently im good at doing that

The ass-clownage from the skeptics on this thread is a bit much. Quit with the bitching and politely allow these men to destroy themselves with beer and miles and falling into street lamps. Bunch of needy little pricks.
This thread is awesome. Not sure why dudes seem so intent on hijacking it or pestering these guys. I reference the above for the clueless. Just let it be for crissake.
holy flying zebra cows! i feel so bad
26 miles but only 22 beers today. i got screwed over in the afternoon with my project.
with 28 hours left i need another marathon tomorrow and 34! beers. pray for me
with the twitter feed you guys have upped the standard for all future 100/100 posts... mad props for that. i'm loving this so far.
one question: when you've had 100 beers and run 100 miles, what are you going to do next?
