I don't see why anyone should hate any of these schools? Williams? If I hadn't gone to an Ivy joint, I would love to have gone there.

1. Gotta be Williams. Rumor or not, I always enjoyed the description of the Williams top seven as three of the absolute smartest kids in NESCAC and four of the dumbest.
2. Tufts. Blue collar poseurs. Their football team used to bring a shovel to games. Because nothing says working-class like paying $55 grand to major in classics.
3. Amherst. Not all the a******* could get into Williams.
4. Keene. People forget this now that they suck but God, that team was all over the message boards talking themselves up during their brief window of relevance.
5. I don't know, MIT? I never held any particular antipathy towards them but if the guy on the DIII thread claiming the academic workload as the reason they bombed out this season is at all affiliated with the school, they deserve a spot on this list.
I don't hate MIT, but I hate MIT track/XC, or at least whoever is coached by the chick coach who screamed at me like a ridiculous 10-year-old when I was on "her" track while 2 very slow athletes were doing a workout. Pathetic.
Learn your school's history, kiddo. Everyone knows it except for you.
MIT hosts all comers meets in the summer on their track, so clearly they are not proprietary about it. The comment above that liberal arts graduates just end up at Occupy Wall Street shows complete ignorance of these elite liberal arts schools. Williams has always been known as a factory for Wall Street and financial industry workers. The # of protesters out of Williams is probably quite small.

Hmmm nice argument about Tufts, especially since we got 9th in the nation this year. I guess when you say blow up you mean getting 5th at regionals last year and getting screwed by the selection committee or getting 4th at NESCACs or something.
It's nice when you can refer to a team you didn't help at all as "we." Your parents paid $50k for you to look like an a**hole at Regionals and Nationals while your teammates gave you a reason to come talk on a board. Nobody likes Tufts because you all feel so entitled. You're NESCAC safety school, sweetheart.
Let's see if you team can actually hold it together for the whole track season, it seems to not happen for nearly everyone on your team. I specifically recall Rose running over 2:10 at some meet last year...

This. If anything, I'd wager the guys who dumped McDonald's job applications on the protesters were Ephs whose family connections got them jobs with Morgan Stanley.

Why don't you tell us your team so we can pick out specific runners and bring up bad races they had? Tufts had 4 in the top 10 in the 5k and 3 in the top 10 in the 10k at Nescacs last year.
I don't know which is worse:
all the NESCAC kids who argue over which school's liberal arts degree will look best hanging in the break room of the McDonald's they'll end up working at.
or the MIT kids, who attended an international renowned engineering school who peak every year to win their conference meet, where the closest thing to competition is a regional college, who's claim to fame is producing the area's best gym teachers.
But at least when those gym teachers make the MIT graduate's children cry, they can take them in their Mercedes to get a Whopper from someone who majored in Shakespeare at a NESCAC school
This just in! All of Tufts' butthurt posts in response have them rocketing up the ranks of "DIII NE's Most Hated"! Will they challenge Williams, or continue to shit the bed when it matters most? WATCH THIS SPACE.
Tufts just got 9th in the country dude, I don't think they're are the ones butthurt.

Well if you're not from the NESCAC or MIT, you're either Brandeis or some slob who couldn't hack the SATs. I'd say the latter.

Real coherent post, Mr. 2350. You're just making Tufts look great!
I try.
this is an exceptionally stupid thread. and clearly it was going to just water down to hating on nescacs and mit. Grow up guys.

Before we get on a NESCAC pride parade, I know students at Amherst who got rejected from Westfield State...so it ain't like we talking about Oxford here people..
the only way that is true is if they made an enormous donation to amherst, or they got rejected for being overqualified. Amherst is the second ranked liberal arts college in the country

You love liberal arts don't you? I'm sure you're quite successful at pouring tasty Starbucks coffee for your elitist friends who are still getting allowances from their parents.
