Kennedys, hands down. not the xc kind.
ventulus isnt bad.
well i love the nike janas
adistar 3LD if you can get hold of them
nike vents, best for xc and any distance event on the track. the lightest shoe i've ever had
track spikes don't breakdown from gravel/dirt/any other crap on an xc course?
If its a rocky, gravel, etc. course, go for real xc spikes with a rubber bottom, or flats. I like the kenn xcs, or waffle racers if its really rough. If its mostly grass or dirt, a track spike will work great.
Depends on the terrain. The XC races I've run have all been on almost golf course terrain with some trees to run around. So, XC spikes weren't really necessary. I've seen people wear spikes like the Nike Jasari, but I always stuck to something seemingly more durable like the Zoom D and later the Eldoret.
What about the Saucony Static Spike? Anyone use those?
What are some of the best flats for cross country races that are on some road and gravel as well as grass and dirt? what are some of the best road flats? anyone...?
The best would have to be the zoom ventulas that they discontinued after last year. Haha ...they were $110 spikse I just bought a pair for $9.00. What a steal.
WHERE DID YOU GET THEM FOR $9??? please tell!
The new Brooks one is pretty good for tougher courses

Use a trail shoe instead. Running on spikes on the road will slow you down too much.
i fully agree with the 3ld and the 01 steeple. fit like socks.
